Milton E. Lorenz, Jr. is a founding partner of Welder Leshin LLP.

For over 25 years, Milton Lorenz has represented electric utilities and electric cooperatives in all aspects of the electric energy business in Texas. Mr. Lorenz has advised clients on electric power plant and transmission line sales and acquisitions, power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements and transmission easement purchases. He has represented his clients on regulatory matters before the Public Utility Commission of Texas, and served as general counsel to several utilities. He has supervised the acquisition of electric transmission rights of way and easements, both through negotiations and condemnations, for many major electric transmission line projects. He also has over 20 years of experience in the renewable energy field, engaging with project developers, electric utilities and landowners in the development of numerous wind and solar projects throughout Texas. He has negotiated the terms of many wind lease agreements and solar lease agreements on behalf of landowner clients. He has also represented numerous landowners in the negotiation of pipeline rights of way and easements, including many oil and gas pipeline projects that are currently underway in South Texas. He also has extensive experience in handling business and real estate transactions outside of the energy field.

Mr. Lorenz is married to Katherine Lorenz. They have two children.
